The Cerebral Palsy League (CPL) is a leading not-for-profit community service organisation committed to helping people with physical disability meet their full potential.

As a Physiotherapist at CPL you will work within a collaborative team framework to support children aged 0-18 years with cerebral palsy and primary physical disabilities and their families at home, at school, and in the community. 

 

You will join our Child & Family Support Service team that includes an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Workers and Early Intervention Officer.

Experienced physiotherapists will enjoy a diverse caseload of children with a wide range of support needs as well as the opportunity to develop additional skills outside their discipline specific knowledge base.  Opportunities to provide mentoring and education to other physiotherapists are supported and valued by the organisation.

New graduate physiotherapists will benefit from the opportunity to work alongside Neuro-Developmental Treatment (Bobath) trained team members, providing enhancement to your treatment abilities and skills.  A supportive team environment, as well as the opportunity to access peer support, work-shadowing and mentoring from other CPL physiotherapists including the senior physiotherapist means you will never feel isolated.

We are currently exploring new and innovative ways of delivering vital support services to children with disability and their families living in regional, rural and remote areas of the state, including the use of cutting edge technology developed in Queensland.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional to our Wide Bay Child & Family Support Services team to assist us to further develop these new service delivery solutions, as well as support our existing clients across the Wide Bay.

Interests in conducting research within this position are encouraged and supported by the organisation.
